Peking, February 26, 1910.
His Majesty's consul at Foochow stated in his despatch No. 39 that shops retailing foreign opium were still closed. He now telegraphs that as far as he can learn all shops dealing either in foreign or native opium in Kucheng are now closed. He is making further enquiries.
